James Edward Marshall Jr.

RAY CITY — James Edward Marshall Jr., 60, of Ray City died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at Berrien County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Austin Deloach officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Marshall was born Feb. 28, 1952 in Mont Eagle, Tenn. to the late James Edward Marshall and the late Martha Ann Hawkins. He was the assistant store manager with Morrison Home Center and had been employed with Ganas Hardware in Lakeland for 17 years. He was very instrumental and active in the Berrien County and Lanier County Recreation Departments. Mr. Marshall was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Sapp Marshall of Ray City; two daughters, Heather Marie Marshall of Nashville and Elizabeth Breanna Marshall of Lakeland; two stepdaughters, LaVonne Sapp of Plant City, Fla. and Danielle Archer of Lakeland; two stepsons, Jason Vargeron of Princeton, Ky. and Donne Vargeron of Valdosta; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Kieon of Nashville; a grandson, Jarrett Kieon of Nashville; 11 step-grandchildren, Austin, Macey, Rihanna, Autumn, Matthew, Emma, Nathan, Alexis, Brennan, Donnette and Makinsey; a brother, John Marshall of Meridian, Miss.; and a sister, Joan Smith of Ringgold.

Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
