Ronald Grady Tillman, 73, of Adel passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sparks United Methodist Church in Sparks with the Rev. James Sapp and the Rev. Sally Flowers officiating. Eulogies will be given by Ed Revels and Benny Ensley. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex in Adel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Boone Funeral Home, located at 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.
Mr. Tillman was born June 11, 1939 in Moultrie to the late Nathan Thomas Tillman and Hazel Keigans Tillman. He lived most of his life in Cook County and was retired from Talley Corbett Box Company, where he served as the plant superintendent. He was also a faithful member of Sparks United Methodist Church and a military veteran, where he served in the United States Army.
Mr. Tillman is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Tiny Dunlap Tillman; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Ed Revels; two grandchildren, Carrie and Brock Revels, all of Adel; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Frankie Cone of Conyers, Helen and Buddy Sutton of Norman Park and Irma and Randy Hall of Quitman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, J.E. and Jean Dunlap of Ashburn and Cecil and Evelyn Dunlap of Alma; and several nieces and nephews, David and Alisa Cone of Rutledge, Sala and Mike Newsom of Norman Park, Renee and Ian Oliveto of Thomasville and Reggie and Leah Hall of Brunswick. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lunell Tillman.

Tattnall Square tops Tiftarea, 6-2
Ernie Banks used to say, "let's play two." In a game that was as long as two and was defined early on by errors and later by a pitching duel, it would be offense that propelled the Tattnall Square Trojans past the Tiftarea Academy Panthers, 6-2 in 14 innings. Tattnall, who won the first game of the series, 4-1 before dropping game two, 6-3, will meet Mount de Sales in the Class AAA semifinals next week.
