AUBURNDALE, Fla. —
Joe Kent IV, 58, of Auburndale, Fla., formerly of Tifton, died July 31, 2012.
Mr. Kent is survived by his wife, Sandy Kent of Auburndale; his daughter Kelli Kent Doss of Seattle, Wash.; and two step-daughters, Alexis and Chelsea Deal of Tampa, Fla.
Joe is also survived by his mother, Sylvia C Taylor of Tifton, and a sister, Carol K Thurber, of New Windsor, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Kent III, and his step-father, Ray Taylor.
Services will be handled by Kersey Funeral Home.
His family is heartbroken by Joe’s sudden death and will miss him greatly.

County millage rate remains same
Tift County Commissioners voted unanimously in a called meeting Tuesday to keep the millage rate set at 12.183 for both incorporated and unincorporated areas of the county.

I was able to take a trip down to Tampa this past weekend with my mom to see my niece in her dance recital.We didn’t get to see her dance in her recital. She kept saying she was sick, and we all kept saying, “You’ll be OK...it’s just nerves.”
