TIFTON —
The Turner County Rebels cruised to two easy victories Friday night against the Lanier County Bulldogs in Ashburn.
The Lady Rebels improved their record to 14-3 with a shellacking of their opponents. They would score the first 19 points of the game before the Lady Bulldogs found the inside of the net. Turner would have a 22-2 lead after the first and a 46-5 lead at halftime. Lanier finally found a rhythm in the second half, but it was too late, the final score being 61-17.
Mylashia Yancey personally outscored the Lady Bulldogs with 21 points. Zenia Coley had nine.
On paper, it seemed like an even matchup. The Lanier County boys had only lost two games on the season and Turner had only dropped four.
It was close after the first quarter, the Rebels leading 14-6. They stretched it to 32-19 at the half before going on a rampage in the second half. They outscored the Bulldogs 18-6 in the third and 13-7 in the fourth for an easy 63-32 win.
Antonio Graddic was the only Rebel in double-digits with 14, but every one of his teammates also featured in the scoring column.
Turner hosts Telfair County tonight.

Proud of diamond accomplishments of Devils, Panthers
Tift County almost pulled off an incredible feat this year, having two teams in the baseball quarterfinals.. It was a great year for baseball at all area schools, all eight of them in the postseason. Both Kyle Kirk's Tift County Blue Devils and Brad Porter's Tiftarea Academy Panthers came within an eyelash of doing even better: the final four.
