DUNWOODY —
Retired Lt. Col. Leland “Lee” R. Cantlebary, 91, died March 1, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Memorial services will be held Thursday in the chapel of Dunwoody Methodist Church, 1548 Mt. Vernon Rd., Dunwoody. The greeting will begin at 1p.m. followed by the service at 2p.m.
He was born July 28, 1921 in Sunbury, Ohio to George and Estella Cantlebary. His parents, his brothers, Dale and Donald, his daughter, Lorel, and his son, Michael, preceded him in death.
Lee is survived by his wife, Doris Evans Cantlebary, his son, Jeff Cantlebary and his wife Sonia, daughter-in-law, Linda Cantlebary, and grandchildren, Layla Cantlebary, Hallie Cantlebary and her husband Sean Mulligan, Katherine Cantlebary, and Elizabeth Cantlebary.

“Keep calm and stop the violence,” “Save our streets” and “No more violence” were the words echoed by Eighth Street Middle School students early Tuesday morning as they stood in front of the school behind caution tape and orange cones, shouting and holding up signs as they waved at passing motorists who smiled and returned the gesture.
