Corra Lee Cox Bracewell, 87, of Tifton passed away March 4, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The Rev. Jason Jones will officiate with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Her grandsons, Jackie Bracewell, Michael Bracewell, Brian Bracewell, Chad Bracewell, Shane Bracewell, Dennis Wilson, Jake Dukes and Terry Reis will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Bracewell was born April 21, 1925 in Winterhaven, Fla. and was the daughter of Jimmy Jackson Cox and Clara Pearl Taylor Cox, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Willard Jerome Bracewell; her siblings, Louise Tucker, Jake Cox and Jesse Cox. She was a homemaker and a member of New River Baptist Church in Tifton. She had lived in Tifton for 60-plus years.
Mrs. Bracewell is survived by her four children and their spouses, Larry and Vicki Bracewell of Tifton, Gary and Sandra Bracewell of Alpharetta, Pat and Whitley Bryant of Ocilla and Tonny and Sue Bracewell of Albany; her siblings, Henry Cox of Deming, New Mexico, Dora Mae Coburn of Tifton, Clara Mae Pate of Tifton, Vernell Roberts of Tifton, Herman Cox of Tifton and Cecil Cox of Fitzgerald; eleven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to the Gideons International, Tifton Gideon Camp, P. O. Box 7051, Tifton, GA 31793; or to Easter Seals of Tift County, 1402 Tift Avenue North, Tifton, GA 31794.
