Dorothy Deese Sorrells, 81, of Enigma died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Enigma Cemetery. The Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Sorrells was born Oct. 24, 1930 in Marianna, Fla., and was the daughter of Bascomb Deese and Addie Christmas Deese, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Sorrells; one son, Melvin Clark; four brothers; and four sisters. She was retired from home health care.
Mrs. Sorrells is survived by three sons, Eugene Clark of Lakeland, Fla., Henry Alvin Couch of Old Town, Fla., and Charles Joseph Cox of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Lorene Bell of Tifton; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
