Spring Revival
ELDORADO — Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy. 41 S., will hold its annual spring revival at 7:30 p.m. tonight. The Rev. C.C. Burks will be the guest speaker. The pastor is the Rev. C.J. Matthews.
Anniversary
TIFTON — Women in Action Missionary Club will hold its 30th anniversary at 5 p.m. March 23 at Travelers Rest Baptist Church. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Herman West, pastor of Pleasant Grove, Sylvester. The pastor of Travelers Rest is the Rev. Frankie Mathis.
Memorial Sing
WEST BERRIEN — Vickers Church will hold its annual memorial sing at 11 a.m. March 24 featuring The Harper Trio of Camilla. Lunch will follow in the fellowship hall. There will be no evening service.
Pastor Appreciation
FITZGERALD — Glorious Deliverance Family Worship Center Inc., 153 West wood Dr. will hold its 23rd annual pastor appreciation in honor of Apostle Leviticus Moore Jr. and Pastor Cynthia Moore at 8 p.m. March 21-23 and at 5 p.m. March 24. The speakers will be Apostle Kevin Cunningham of Chicago, Ill. and Apostle Johnny Watkins, of Hazlehurst. Anniversary
TIFTON — Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2113 Southern Ave., will celebrate the first anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. Rudolph Porter, March 24 at 3 p.m. Dr. Booker T. Rose Jr., pastor of Young’s Chapel Missionary Church in Douglas, will serve as the presiding pastor of the service.
Gospel Sing
MOULTRIE — A gospel sing will be held at 6 p.m. March 24 at Moultrie Church of God of Prophecy, 1718 West Blvd. featuring The Faithful Servants and Wade Spencer. Free admission, a love offering will be received. Everyone is invited. For more information call Richard at 478-998-2996.
Drama
TIFTON — Eastside Baptist Church, corner of Old Ocilla and Kennedy Road, invites everyone to attend and experience an Easter drama entitled “Bow the Knee.” This dynamic portrayal of the Easter story will be Sunday, March 24 during the 11 a.m. morning worship service. The Sanctuary Choir will present musical arrangements that will be accompanied by powerful drama.
Prayer
TIFTON — Resurrectional Outreach Ministries will hold a one hour power of prayer during Holy week from 6 until 7 p.m. March 25-29. The pastor is Elder Louise Litman.
Egg Hunt
TIFTON — A children's Easter egg hunt will be held at Tifton's First Church of the Nazarene, 3024 N. Tift Ave, at 10:30 a.m. March 30 for children ages 1-11. There will be giant Easter basket give away, cookies and cupcakes, and a free 5 x 7 photo of the morning.
Worship service
TIFTON — Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 2110 S. Park Ave., will have its regular worship service at 11:30 a.m. on the fifth Sunday, which will be Easter Sunday. The Easter program will follow the worship service. The Rev. Dr. William D. Harvey is the pastor.
Benefit Sing
FITZGERALD — A benefit gospel sing will be held at 6 p.m. April 6 at Calvary Baptist Church, 116 Mayes Street, Fitzgerald. The sing is being held for Patricia Turner who needs a double lung transplant. Admission is free, a love offering will be received, cakes will be sold as part of the benefit. Singers will be Mark and Scarlett Cartwright, Mark Taylor, Vince Stracke and In His Name.
Gospel Sing
FITZGERALD — Faith Baptist Church will hold its monthly at 6 p.m. April 6 featuring Living Water of Sylvester. Refreshments will be served following the sing in the church social hall. The church is located at the corner of South Lee and West Jessamine Streets.
Spring Revival
WEST BERRIEN — Ebenezer Baptist Church will hold its spring revival at 7:30 p.m. April 21-24. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Larry Stone. The pastor is the Rev. Ken Potts.

TPD Lt. Steve Hyman recognized by Tifton Sertoma Club Thursday
Steve Hyman, an officer with the Tifton Police Department, is all smiles after receiving the Tifton Sertoma Club's 2013 Service to Mankind Award, presented by Chad Alexander, past president of the club.

Proud of diamond accomplishments of Devils, Panthers
Tift County almost pulled off an incredible feat this year, having two teams in the baseball quarterfinals.. It was a great year for baseball at all area schools, all eight of them in the postseason. Both Kyle Kirk's Tift County Blue Devils and Brad Porter's Tiftarea Academy Panthers came within an eyelash of doing even better: the final four.
