Devils late surge cools Camden

TIFTON — The Camden County Wildcats were ahead 4-0 after the first two innings, but the Tift County Blue Devils would not be denied and used a late surge to take the second game of Friday’s doubleheader, 6-4.

Zack Bullard went the distance for the Devils and also had a big RBI in the comeback. All of Tift’s runs came in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, with Blake Suggs and Briggs Benson also driving in runs with key hits.

Tift is now 1-1 in Region 1-AAAAAA competition. Their next region game will be played at home Friday, March 15 against the Lowndes Vikings. They lost the first game of the doubleheader Friday to Camden, 2-0.
