TIFTON —
A 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old juvenile were arrested March 7 and were both charged with burglary and loitering, said Detective Dorminey McCrae at the Tifton Police Department.
According to an incident report filed at the TPD, a man who lives in the 1200 block of Madison Avenue reported at 6 p.m. March 7 that when he arrived home, he observed his front door closed but broken. He reported that someone entered his residence without permission and removed his two .270 deer rifles. He reported that no other items appeared to be missing from the residence.
Earlier in the day, officers received a call regarding two males carrying guns down the street. The guns were discovered later in nearby woods.
Oryan Rayshawn Williams, 17, of 17th St. and the juvenile were charged with loitering, as well as Johnny Fredwick Simon Jr., 18, of 4130 Westview Avenue.
It was determined after an investigation by the TPD that both Williams and the juvenile were involved in the Madison Avenue burglary. They were both charged with burglary as well. Williams was sent to the Tift County Jail, and the juvenile was sent to the Crisp County Regional Youth Detention Center.

Tattnall Square tops Tiftarea, 6-2
Ernie Banks used to say, "let's play two." In a game that was as long as two and was defined early on by errors and later by a pitching duel, it would be offense that propelled the Tattnall Square Trojans past the Tiftarea Academy Panthers, 6-2 in 14 innings. Tattnall, who won the first game of the series, 4-1 before dropping game two, 6-3, will meet Mount de Sales in the Class AAA semifinals next week.
