NORMAN PARK —
Ulhan "Bill" Sutton, 90, of Norman Park, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Norman Park First Baptist Church and the Rev. Jimmy Voyles will officiate, with burial to follow at Deep Bottom Cemetery. George Lawhorn, Carl Wesley Horne, Waylon Stuckey, Jeb Griffin, Lewis Hurst, Rodney Hurst, Charlie Gene Powell and Clarence Lowe will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.
Mr. Sutton was born April 7, 1922 in Norman Park and was the son of Clarlie Sutton and Vera Killibrew Sutton, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Salter Sutton; brothers, Eugene Sutton, Gene Sutton, Clifford Sutton, Jack Sutton, Johnny Sutton, William Sutton, Sanford Sutton and W.T. Sutton; and sisters, Ulha Sutton, Mae Bell Sutton Lasseter and Thelma Sutton Young..
Mr. Sutton was the retired owner of Sutton's Grocery and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Norman Park.
Mr. Sutton is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Helen Sutton of Norman Park; two daughters and one son-in-law, Clara Sutton Smith of Moultrie and Christine Sutton Page, and husband, Lamar of Norman Park; a sister, Lorice Sutton Ragan of Chattanooga, Tenn.; grandchildren, Ken and Joy Hooper of Tifton, Sala and Mike Newsome of Norman Park, Gala and Tony Kick of Moultrie, Penny Howard, Trina Strickland, Keith Newsome, Tammy Harris and fiancé Tony Gay, all of Moultrie; great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Italo Santana of Adel, Tondrea and Chris Johnson of Moultire, Holly and Clay Hampton of Hartsfield, Tanner Strickland of Hartsfield, Brooke Kick and Dylan Howard of Moultrie, Pax Newsome, Jon Cone, Lilly Newsome of Norman Park; a step-grandson, Logan Cone; great-great-grandchildren, Zoie and Zane Hampton of Hartsfield, Demian and Tyler Santana of Adel and a very special friend, Eloise Sutton of Tifton. The family may be contacted at 4358 US Hwy 319 N., Norman Park, GA at the the home of Christine and Lamar Page. Arrangements are entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.

Tattnall Square tops Tiftarea, 6-2
Ernie Banks used to say, "let's play two." In a game that was as long as two and was defined early on by errors and later by a pitching duel, it would be offense that propelled the Tattnall Square Trojans past the Tiftarea Academy Panthers, 6-2 in 14 innings. Tattnall, who won the first game of the series, 4-1 before dropping game two, 6-3, will meet Mount de Sales in the Class AAA semifinals next week.
