It will soon be the holiday season and local residents have already received a gift.
The gift is an assortment of new businesses in the city of Tifton.
Local residents were excited about the opening of Publix, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.
T.J. Maxx is set to open Sunday, work is close to being completed on a Bojangles franchise and a new Kentucky Fried Chicken is progressing nicely.
There was also news this past weekend of the ground breaking of the long-rumored Olive Garden.
Besides those businesses, the new major Flash Foods convenience stores are also going up and will soon be open.
The new businesses mean more chances for money to stay in our community and that’s always a good thing. It also means more job opportunities for local citizens, which is even better because more residents will have the money to spend at the new businesses.
We applaud all of the work that has gone into making our string of successes on the business front.
