Sammy Manning Jr., 50, of Nashville died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Southview Mortuary Chapel and committal services will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, a repast will conclude at the Community Center. Jerry M. Moore, 64, of Adel, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lake City, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. with the Rev. Kenneth Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at the Beulah Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hart Moore of Adel; a daughter Leanne Lunsford of Atlanta; and a granddaughter, Lexy Lunsford of Atlanta. Boone Funeral Home is serving the Moore family.
George Clayton Smith Jr., 82, of Enigma died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with burial to follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. Earnestine Grier, 84, of Birmingham, Ala. died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at Pricston Baptist Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Blue Spring Missionary Baptist Church, Warwick, with burial to follow at St. James Church Cemetery. Fields and Terrys' Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

I was able to take a trip down to Tampa this past weekend with my mom to see my niece in her dance recital.We didn’t get to see her dance in her recital. She kept saying she was sick, and we all kept saying, “You’ll be OK...it’s just nerves.”
