TIFTON —
Local law enforcement agencies have responded to several incidents in the area, including an alleged kidnapping.
According to an incident report filed at the Tifton Police Department, a woman reported Friday that her juvenile son went missing from a residence in the 1100 block of South Central Avenue. She noted her son has left the residence before while staying with relatives. She gave the police a description of her son and what he was last seen wearing that day.
The woman reported hours later to 911 that she had found her son at a local convenience store on Seventh Street. She reported that her son said he was kidnapped at gunpoint by three black males. The juvenile told police that he was walking on 13th Street early Friday morning when a black four-door car pulled up next to him, and a black male dressed in all black punched him in his stomach and forced him into the back of the vehicle. He reported that the subject in all black then put a black semi-automatic handgun to his head and said, “We should kill you.”
The juvenile reported that the offenders took him into the county for several hours, riding around while they smoked marijuana. He reported that they then dropped him off at a local convenience store and drove off. He reported that he hid nearby, and a short time later, he was located by his mother.
Officers were unable to locate the offenders.
