‘Ground work’ at Zero Energy house

TIFTON — The Zero Energy house at 403 Park Avenue goes green outside to go with its green energy theme inside. The Landscape Committee (Bret Wagenhorst/Chairman, Moe Clements, Wayne Hanna, Craig Kvien and

Charles Styer) is overseeing this phase of the project. The first stage consists of laying centipede sod donated by Scott and Drew Veazey. The detailed plan was a gift from landscape architect Stephen Rakestraw. Pictured is volunteer project director Moe Clements getting help from Jeff Wiggins, Kevin Griffin and Josh Slocumb. Exotic plants, many of them edible, will soon join the new sod.
