ALBANY —
Dianne Berry, of Albany died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. William E. “Butch” Knight, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at Mathews Funeral Home.
A native of Tifton, Dianne had resided in Albany for the past 28 years moving from Tifton. She was employed with Albany Internal Medicine, volunteered with Meals on Wheels and enjoyed crocheting, baking and fishing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albany.
Survivors include a daughter, Kim Greenhill (Stacy) of Naples, Fla., a son, Cory Berry (Brittany) of Sylvester; two brothers, Gene Goode (Bo) and Hollis Goode (Marjorie), a sister, Bonnie Johnston (Benny) all of Tifton; and a granddaughter, Amber Nicole Greenhill of Naples, Fla.

County millage rate remains same
Tift County Commissioners voted unanimously in a called meeting Tuesday to keep the millage rate set at 12.183 for both incorporated and unincorporated areas of the county.

I was able to take a trip down to Tampa this past weekend with my mom to see my niece in her dance recital.We didn’t get to see her dance in her recital. She kept saying she was sick, and we all kept saying, “You’ll be OK...it’s just nerves.”
