MOULTRIE —
A Moultrie man may have been fortunate Tuesday to be hit with an iron as his accused attacker told police that if she had a gun at the time she would have shot him.
Police were dispatched at about 10:43 a.m. to the 403 Hillcrest Drive residence of Maggie Daniels, agency reports said, where Taurus Edwards, 35, reported that Daniels hit him in the back with an iron. He told police that Daniels came into the room fussing at him and then struck him, Moultrie Police Department reports said..
Daniels told police that she hit Edwards in the back with the iron because Edwards called her a vulgar name during an argument.
“She also stated that if she had a gun she would have shot him instead of hitting him with the iron,” police reports said.
Edwards has been living at the residence with her and her granddaughter, Daniels told police, and she wants him to move out.

There was the spectacle of advocates of an ever-larger regulatory government expressing shock about such government's large capacity for misbehavior.
