Rants and Raves for Jan. 19

Hop to it

“If a restaurant has a drive through window, it is considered a fast food restaurant that is supposed to get your food to you in an adequate time. They should not ask a customer to pull to the white line or trash can. This is an inconvenience on the customer.”

The way it works

“A writer points out that Paul Krugman, like Thomas Sowell, tends to stray away from his area of expertise. Krugman is a liberal colum-nist for the New York Times who is also a Nobel laureate in economics. The writer is correct. At least Krugman uses some humor while Sowell is uniformly negative. At any rate, it's good to see a conservative make a logical, reasoned point for a change. That's the way the system is supposed to work but rarely does.”

Why complain now?

“George W. Bush issued 291 executive orders. His father issued 166 executive orders. Ronald Reagan issued 381 executive orders. Gerald Ford issued 169 executive orders. Every President issued at least one executive order, with the exception of William Henry Harrison who died shortly after taking office.
