TIFTON —
On March 9, the Northside Baptist Church Challenger group will host the second annual Challenger Connect 5K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run. The Challengers are comprised of teenage males in grades 7 through 12. They are partnering with Connect Ministries to host the race.
Registration and payment can be made through www.connectrace.com, which also has the course map. Walk-up registration will also be available. It starts at 8 a.m. on March 9, with the race starteing at 9 a.m. The cost is $20 per individual and a family maximum of $60. The start and finish of the race will be at Northside Baptist on Murray Avenue.
Trophies and medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each age category. Each participant will be given a t-shirt.
There will be a children’s play area with supervision for kids by the Northside Acteen program.

Students challenge community, leaders to ‘stop the violence’
