Lions to meet

Public Demonstration

TIFTON — The Atlantic Coastline Artist Guild is hosting a free demonstration for the public by artist Joe Fettingis at 7 tonight in the Guild building, 119 Love Ave. (Donations to the ACAG are always accepted. Thank you.)



Library Club

TIFTON — The Tifton 20th Century Library Club will meet at 3 p.m. today at the United Way Community Center on Fourth Street. The Conservation Department will host the meeting. A member of the GaFWC, the group welcomes prospective members.

TIFTON — The South Georgia Community Service Board, dba Behavioral Health Services of South Georgia, providing treatment in the areas of mental health, developmental disabilities and addictive diseases, will meet at 2 p.m. today at the Cook Service Center. NARFE MEETS

TIFTON — All active and retired federal employees are encouraged to meet the second Thursday of each month at Old Times Country Buffet on Highway 82. The next meeting will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday for a Dutch treat luncheon following a business meeting/fellowship. Relay for Life Pageant

TIFTON — The fifth annual Miss Relay For Life of Tift County Pageant will be held March 20 at Tift County High School Performing Arts Center. Girls ages 0-22 with may participate. All proceeds benefit the Tift County Relay. For more info call Karen Kramer at 848-0229.



Domestic violence workshop

TIFTON — The Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church Deaconess Board will sponsor a Domestic Violence Workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at the church, 709 S. Ridge Ave. The speaker will be Vicki Parsons, executive director of Ruth’s Cottage and The Patticake House. Anyone age 13 or older is invited.



Talent Search

TIFTON — The Arts in Black will host its Annual Talent Show at the Tift Theatre March 26. Auditions will be held at the Neighborhood Service Center from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 13. Soloist, groups, choirs, instrumentalists and dancers/steppers of all ages are encouraged to enter. No entry fee for participants. Awards will be given to winners. Tour de Tifton
