Property review

TIFTON — The Tift County appraisal staff will be reviewing taxpayer returns and conservation use applications filed from Jan. 1 through the present and land divisions that occurred during 2009; a Mobile Decal review and delinquent mobile home tax review will also be conducted. The purpose of the property review is verification of property records and mobile home decal display. For more information, call the assessor’s office at 386-7840.

Peru Exhibit

TIFTON — A free museum exhibit, "Peru, the Tifton Connection: Culture, Art, Caring," will be on display from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday through Feb. 26.

Lions meeting

TIFTON — The Tifton Lions Club will meet at noon today at Golden Corral. Tift County School Superintendent Patrick Atwater will be the guest speaker.

Aging Advisory Council

NASHVILLE — The Aging Advisory Council of the Southern Georgia Regional Commission’s Area Agency on Aging will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cadillac Ranch Restaurant in Nashville. The meeting is open to the public.

Chili for Children

TIFTON — The Tift County Commission on Children and Youth, partnering with Wendy’s and Tift Regional Medical Center, will hold a fundraiser, Chili for Children, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The meal will include chili, crackers, drink and homemade brownies. Tickets are $5 for dine-in or carry-out and are available by calling 388-1000 or stopping by 418 N. Ridge Ave. All proceeds will benefit the Tift County Commission on Children and Youth.
