TIFTON — Springfield Baptist Church will celebrate its 132nd church anniversary and its pastor’s 18th anniversary at 7:30 nightly through Friday and at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sept. 5. Dinner will be served. The Rev. R.L. Drake is pastor.



Revival

TIFTON — I Hope Church of God Apostolic will be in revival at 7:30 nightly through Friday with Bishop Johnny Hicks of Charleston, S.C. Elder Alice M. Williamson is pastor.

TIFTON — Billy Ray Washington will celebrate his 21st anniversary at 6 p.m. Sept. 4 at Tift Theatre. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Special guests include Lil Mama and the Anointed Price Family, The Chosen Disciples, the Rev. Tommy Barber and Disciples, Anointed Voices, Gospel Starlights and the Tribe of Judah praise dancers. Admission is $10.

TIFTON — Friendship Missionary Baptist Church will have Family and Friends Day at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 5.



Women’s Convention

LENOX — Celebration of Praise Ministries Inc. will have a women’s conference at 7:30 nightly Sept. 8 through 10 and at 1 p.m. Sept. 11 at Joy Temple, 72 N. Broad St., Lenox. The theme will be “Walking in Divine Manifestation.” Guest speakers include Evangelist Natalie Caldwell of Los Angles, Calif., Dr. Tandra Canion of Atlanta, Pastor Angelic Simmons of Atlanta and Lady Bridgette Battles of Philadelphia, Pa. BERRIEN — Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Berrien will have a benefit sing and cake sale for Wayne Sutton at 7 p.m. Sept. 10. Guest singers include The Paffords and New Traditions.

TIFTON — There will be a special “Remembering 9-11” service at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 at the First Assembly of God, 1800 N. FITZGERALD — The Inspirations will be in concert at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Grand Theatre in a benefit sing for Grace Christian Academy in Mystic. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Gospel Workshop

TIFTON — The Gospel Music Industry will hold its fourth annual Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 18 at the Ramada Inn Conference Room in Tifton. Bring CDs, pictures and cards. A panel of industry professionals will present opportunities and answer all of your questions. Bishop Jessie Harris of Gospel Newspaper in Alabama and Deacon Jones of WSTI 105.3 FM radio will be among the panel guests. Ticket reservation is $5 per person.
