TIFTON — The Tift County appraisal staff will be reviewing property in the following locations through Friday of this week: Within the city limits of Tifton; southeast Tift County; east of Central Avenue/Union Road; south of Fourth Street/Ferry Lake Road. The purpose of the property review is verification of property records and mobile home decal display. For more information, call the assessor’s office at 386-7840.



Lions meeting

TIFTON — The Tifton Lions Club will meet at noon today at Golden Corral. The speaker will be J.C. Coefield, who is visually impaired.



Flag Football Tournament

CHULA — The Josh Ray Memorial Flag Football Tournament and Pig Roast Dinner will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at Tiftarea Academy. Team fee is $100 and teams must register by Oct. 21. For more information, e-mail dgriffis@tiftarea.org or call 392-5265 or 392-1706.

clays tournament

SUMNER — The “Rootin’ for Roogie” Sporting Clays Tournament, a fundraiser for stroke patient James T. “Roogie” Gibbs Jr., will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Tifton Skeet and Gun Club. There will be 100 targets, with registration at 8:30 a.m. and the last flight at 3 p.m., European rotation. A $500 cash raffle will be given away the day of the tournament.
