Bible Study

Angel Food Ministries

TIFTON — Northside Baptist Church is a host site to the Angel Food Ministries Program. Angel Food provides low-cost food boxes ranging anywhere from $18 to $35 available to the community regardless of income and also accepts Food Stamps. Black History Month

ASHBURN — Zion Hope Baptist Church in Ashburn will be celebrating Black History Month throughout February with special services at 11 a.m. every Sunday. William Leggett Sr. is pastor.



Praise and worship service

TIFTON — Resurrectional Temple, 2741 Highway 41 South, will hold special praise and worship services at 7:30 p.m. Friday. There will be a skit, praise dancing, preaching and teaching. The speaker will be Mother Lizzie Dawson of J.L. Litman Cathedral in Albany, state mother of HOGSIC.



Black History Celebration

TIFTON — Cherry Grove Free Will Baptist Church will commemorate Black History Month at 4 p.m. Saturday. The theme will be “Believe, Achieve, Succeed.” Marilyn Burks of Tifton and Alma Reese of Albany will be the guest speakers. Local youth, singers and musicians will also be on the program. Bishop Willie F. Prather is pastor.



Gospel Celebration

TIFTON — A gospel celebration will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Leroy Rogers Senior Center featuring Silent and Anointed of Ashburn, Coco and The Chosen Ones of Morven, The Gospel Airs of Alapaha, Jamal Pitts of Enigma, Spiritual Crusaders of Tifton and the Anointed Voices of Ocilla. Daughter of Zion

TIFTON — Pentecostal Temple C.OG.I.C., 403 Cole St., will have a special Daughter of Zion program at 7 p.m. Saturday. Saul Eady is pastor.



Youth Day

TIFTON — Resurrectional Temple, 2741 U.S. Highway 41 South, will observe Youth Day at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Minister Linda Hammock will be the speaker.



Hat Tea Service

TIFTON — Strickland Temple C.O.G.I.C. will hold its first Hat Tea service at 4 p.m. Sunday. There will be food, fun, fellowship, prizes and the bread of life. For more information, call Virginia Brown at 382-5548. Wear a hat. A $10 donation is requested. Bishop Larry L. Shaw is pastor.



Miracle Revival

Deacon Anniversary

TIFTON — Mount Zion Baptist Church, 2110 S. Park Ave., will celebrate its 97th Deacon and Deaconess Anniversary at 3 p.m. March 7. Pastor is the Rev. L.C. Burks.



Revival

TIFTON — Salem Baptist Church will hold spring revival services Sunday, March 21, through Wednesday, March 24. Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and weekday services will be held at 7 nightly. Brother Jimmy Voyles will be the guest pastor and Brother Richard Edwards will lead the music. Salem Baptist is located at 1142 Salem Church Road in Tift County.



Hometown Sing

TIFTON — The Gospel Starlights will hold a Hometown Gospel Celebration March 20 at the Leroy Rogers Senior Center. The doors will open at 6 p.m. with the concert starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door. Refreshments will be available. Featured artists include The Gospel Starlights of Tifton, Lil Joe & Refuge of Brooklyn, N.Y., The Ensemblettes Trio of Fitzgerald, Coco and The Chosen Ones of Morven, The Hunter Sisters of Donalsonville, The Anointed Voices of Ocilla and The Golden Angels of Ashburn.
