Pillow producer and distributor American Textile Co. has been a regular attendee of Quality's job fair, seeking applicants this year with the help of their recruiter, Amber Esco.

TIFTON — Hiring agency Quality Employment has reported a major success for its third annual job fair.

The event received a massive turnout and positive reception from employers and applicants alike when it made a return to Tifton the afternoon of March 21.

Amanda Brack, Quality business development consultant, stated that the career fair had received more than 300 patrons this year, nearly triple the number that had attended the previous year’s run.

These local job seekers eagerly connected with the dozens of businesses at the event, encompassing several diverse fields like equipment manufacturing, healthcare, and agricultural research.

Several businesses reported a good deal of foot traffic, with employers like Heatcraft receiving enough interest from fair patrons that a line at least ten people deep had set up near their table for a good portion of the event.

Applicants had the opportunity to conduct interviews with the array of employers on the spot, with many of the tables around the event space that had been reserved for these interviews being occupied at any given time. Brack stated that following the fair, many employers were making plans to hire the applicants they had spoken with.

Quality Employment expressed great interest in continuing the job fair, but Brack reported they planned on making some adjustments to the event’s procedures in anticipation for future high attendance numbers.

The hiring agency will also hold another job fair in Moultrie April 18 from 3 to 6 p.m., art the Southwest Georgia Community Action Council Event Center. For more information, contact (229) 386-8689.
