Family hires fourth psychic investigator

Wallace’s body was found floating in a Turner County pond March 19, five days after he first went missing. His body was found by Lynn Ann Maker, a psychometrist from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Although police had already searched the pond, Wallace was not found until his body rose to the surface while Maker walked around the shore.
Wallace went missing March 14 and his car was found beside Highway 41 South. His body was found five days later, but it was nearly three months before police gave drowning as a “probable” cause of death. While an investigation by the Turner County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is still open, authorities have said that there is no evidence of foul play in Wallace’s death.
Wallace’s family is unconvinced, however, and feeling that the answers they have received from authorities are lacking, they have turned to unconventional sources.
“The police haven’t called us back,” said Mark King, Wallace’s cousin.
Maker was the first psychic hired by the family, but the family also hired Jon Maronge, a psychic medium from Pennsylvania who helped organize a rally to keep the community’s interest in Wallace’s death alive. Another psychic worked with the family shortly, but quit after he had a “bad feeling” about local law enforcement, according to King. Jeffrey Pierce, a psychic investigator from Flushing, Mich., will be coming to help the family in about two weeks.
The psychics have all agreed that they believe Wallace was murdered and the dead man’s family shares that feeling.
“I think someone killed him and then put him in the pond,” King said. “I believe the police are covering up something because something ain’t right.”
King said that Pierce and his associates are coming to help the family fill in some of the blanks in the story of Wallace’s death. His private investigating crew includes other psychics from Indiana, Alabama and Michigan. He has worked with various police organizations and other authorities helping to solve crimes including murders, kidnappings and arsons.
Interestingly, Pierce is blind, a victim of a degenerative retina disease. He has lost his normal sight within the last six months, but has been a psychic all his life. He uses the spirit world to find clues but seldom speaks to the dead themselves.
The Wallace family hopes that he can use his powers to help put their loved one’s spirit to rest.
“He thinks he can scare out the murderer,” said King.
