Maude Heaton
ALAPAHA — Maude Heaton, 86, of Alapaha, died Monday, March 18, 2002, at Berrien Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Clayton Davis, the Rev. Bobby Fussell and the Rev. Jackie Connell will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Luke Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Lovein Funeral Home.
Born Sept. 5, 1914, in Atkinson County, Mrs. Heaton was the daughter of the late Mary Luke. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Reuben Heaton, who died in 1968.
Mrs. Heaton was a homemaker and a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Clara Mae Davis of Nashville; three sons, Charles Heaton of Clinton, Utah, Carl Heaton of Aurora, Ill., and Terrell Heaton of Douglas; 16 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Gordon Perry Jr.
TIFTON — Gordon Perry Jr., 76, of Tifton, died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at St. Luke Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church. Dr. David Uhl will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank Koran, George Lindstedt, Dr. Bill Bridges, Larry Brown, Denton Coleman and Carl Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Carl Pittman Jr., Buddy Kulbrush, Orville Ferrell, Frank Gray, Norman Glaze, Frank Cook, Hugh Chandler and Billy Smith.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Tiftarea.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. tonight at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born March 19, 1925, in Sanford, N.C., Mr. Perry was the son of Alexander Gordon Perry Sr. and Margaret Jones Perry, both deceased.
He graduated from Sanford High School in Sanford, N.C. and received his bachelor of science degree in textiles from North Carolina State University.
Mr. Perry served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific.
He was retired from J.P. Stevens-Forstmann and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Tifton, where he was a former deacon and elder.
Mr. Perry was a member of Spring Hill Country Club and the Georgia Senior Golf Association. He was former member of Dublin Board of Realtors and Tiftarea Board of Realtors.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife, Catherine Shaw Perry of Tifton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Margaret Ann Perry and Catherine and Les Sutton, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; and one grandson, Kyle Gordon Sutton of Jacksonville, Fla.

Brisco Hutchinson
OSIERFIELD — Brisco Hutchinson, 85, of Osierfield, died Monday, March 18, 2002, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Osierfield Cemetery in Osierfield. The eulogy will be given by Tina Harper.
Born Oct. 9, 1916, in Ben Hill County, Mr. Hutchinson was the son of Becky Ann Hutchinson and Morgan H. Hutchinson, both deceased.
A resident of the Osierfield community most of his life, he was a resident of Life Care Center in Fitzgerald for the past two years. Mr. Hutchinson was a retired farmer.
He is survived by one niece, Hazel Griffin of Coffee County; and three nephews, William Brown of Brunswick, Billy Hutchinson of Fitzgerald and Bill Wynn of Irwin County.

William A. “Billy” Giddens
NASHVILLE — William A. “Billy” Giddens, 75, of Nashville, died Monday, March 18, 2002, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Elder Robert Conner will officiate. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Lovein Funeral Home.
Born Nov. 12, 1926, in Berrien County, Mr. Giddens was the son of Hardy Giddens and Betsey Sutton Giddens, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wydene Jacobs Giddens
, who died in 1994.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Giddens was retired from civil service at Moody Air Force Base and was a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Harvey Vickers
NASHVILLE — Harvey Vickers, 63, of Nashville, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. John Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Lovein Funeral Home.
Born Aug. 24, 1938, Mr. Vickers was the son of Drew Vickers and Eva Brogdon, both deceased.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Nashville First Baptist Church.
Mr. Vickers is survived by two daughters, Terri Adrian of Nashville and Tonya Carter of Monroe; one son, Timmy Vickers of Valdosta; three sisters, Naomi Lloyd of Nashville, Magalene Metts of Willacoochee and Geneva Washington of Augusta; and five grandchildren.
