Annie Harris Joyner
SYCAMORE — Annie Harris Joyner, 87, of Sycamore, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at Ashburn Health Care following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Joyner was born in Turner County. She was the daughter of the late James Elmer and Nora Wood Harris. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She had resided in Turner County all of her life.
Mrs. Joyner is survived by her husband, Harold B. Joyner of Sycamore; two sisters, Eddie Brogdon of Tyrone and Betty Moss of Valdosta; and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas Judson Ball
FITZGERALD – Thomas Judson Ball, 93, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Graveside services wiill be held at 11 a.m. today at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. Gerald Ball will officiate with grandchildren having parts in the service.
Mr. Ball was born on March 26, 1912 in Wilcox County. He was the son of William Alfred and Sarah Ellen Ball, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Vearn Hall Ball, and a daughter, Nannie Ellen Ball. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Ball is survived by his daughters, Gail Douglas and husband Elisha of Jacksonville, Fla., and Patricia Beth King and husband Willis of Fitzgerald; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Carl Lewis Dubose
NASHVILLE — Carl Lewis Dubose, 67, of Nashville, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville. The Rev. Freddie Stone and the Rev. Junior Morgan will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Luke Cemetery.
Mr. Dubose was born March 1, 1938, in Allendale County, S.C. He was the son of Lewis W. Dubose and Eula Mae Stevens Dubose, both deceased. He was a retired mechanic and a member of Trinity Holiness Church.
Mr. Dubose is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Stevens Dubose of Nashville; four daughters, Tammy Jean Holmes of Doerun, Sylvia Louise Wilkerson of Sparks, Carla Lynn Rey of Leesburg and Anita Jeanine Snow of Compton, Ariz.; a sister, Annette Redding of Albany; two brothers, the Rev. Bobby Dubose of Alapaha and David Dubose of Alapaha; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Clayton Morgan
VALDOSTA — Clayton Morgan, 83, of Valdosta, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Holiness Church. The Rev. Freddie Stone will officiate. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the Morgan residence on Highway 135.
Mr. Morgan was born on July 16, 1921, in Coffee County. He was the son of Elijah Morgan and Mae Murry Morgan, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Ada Varnedoe Morgan, who died in 1976, and Ruth Starrling, who died in 2002; a brother; and a sister. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired barber and a member of Liberty Faith Holiness Church.
Mr. Morgan is survived by his daughter, Doris (John) Vinson of Shreveport, La.; two stepdaughters, Linda Wisman of Valdosta and Janice Lumley of Valdosta; one son, the Rev. Harvey (Brenda) Morgan of Moultrie; one stepson, Darrell Starrling of Arizona; one sister, Dollie Mae McKinnon of Douglas; one brother, James Morgan Sr., of Douglas; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nine step-grandchildren.
