William Christopher Maxwell
TIFTON — William Christopher Maxwell, 25, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at Macon Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Memorial Chapel of First Baptist Church, Tifton, with burial to follow at 4 p.m. at Crystal Hill Cemetery in Thomaston. Elder Ronny Webb and Jeremey Green will officiate at the funeral and Vernon Dillingham will officiate at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ben Marshall, Russ Stephens, Jason Hale, Jerry Banks, Brock Patrick, Brandt Patrick, Jarrod Brogdon, Kip Walker, Chad Tindell and Jarrett Haswell.
Members of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in memory of Chris and in honor of Kendall to the Methodist Children’s Home, P.O. Box 2947, Valdosta, GA 31604-2947.
Born May 16, 1979, in Tift County, Mr. Maxwell was the son of Bill (Vicki) Maxwell of St. Marys and Chrystle (Michael) McDonald Ross of Tifton.
He was lead mobile electronic installer for Best Buy in Valdosta and an instructor at Valdosta Tech. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Maxwell is survived by his fiancee, Amy Brogdon of Valdosta; one daughter, Kendall Joanna Maxwell of Marietta; and three sisters, Whitney Maxwell of St. Marys and Sunny Ross and Marla Ross, both of Tifton.
Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
M.J. Spicer
TIFTON — Infant Morgan Jack “M.J.” Spicer, 1 day, of Tifton, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at New Hope Baptist Church in Scooterville, with the Rev. Mike Carter officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clint Hand, Jason Scott, Steffen Pearman and Patrick Futrill.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors, Tiftarea Chapel.
Born Feb. 10, 2005, in Albany, M.J. was the son of Mike and Melissa Wood Spicer of Tifton. He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Herman and Ruby King, J.L. Hall, J.T. and Louise Spicer and C.D. Wood Sr.
Survivors include, in addition to his parents, two sisters, Madison Rea Spicer and Malle Brook Spicer, both of Tifton; maternal grandparents, Jack and Rose Wood of Tifton; paternal grandparents, Billy and Jo Ann Spicer of Tifton; maternal great-grandparents, Odell Wood of Tifton and Wydenia Hall of Leesville, S.C.; special aunts and uncle, Kim S. Spradley of Tifton and Tasha and Wade Patterson of Scooterville; cousins, Brock and Amber Spradley of Tifton and Dawson Patterson of Scooterville.
