Pauline Patricia Hinson Hinde
TIFTON — Pauline Patricia Hinson Hinde, 86, of Tifton, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Tift Health Care.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Today at the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr., will officiate. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Church Cemetery on St. Simons Island.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Clark, Skyler Ray, Ty Whiddon, Jason McMillan, Dustin McMillan and Jeffery McMillan.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born Dec. 13, 1917, in Cook County, Mrs. Hinde was the daughter of Ander Leon Hinson and Maggie Welch Hinson, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Marion Hinde; two brothers, Walter Leon Hinson and Dennis Ander Hinson; and three sisters, Retha Barber, Lucille Barfield and Geneva Jordan.
She had lived in Tifton since 1980 and was a retired secretary and Stanley sales representative. She was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Hinde is survived by one daughter, Joyce Collier Mallard Hayes of Tifton; two sisters, Mattie Mae Cox of Macon and Mamie Lee (Scrap) Bennett of Lenox; a special friend, Gladys Walker; seven grandchildren, Jan Mallard, Rhonda Whiddon, Iris and Greg McMillian, all of Tifton; and six great-grandchildren.
Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
Betty S. Holton
ADEL — Betty S. Holton, 70, of Adel, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at Westside Baptist Church. The Rev. John Hendley and the Rev. Wallace Barber will officiate.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home.
Born on Aug. 2, 1934, in Quitman, she was the daughter of Virgil Wright Shiver and Bertha Lee (Shiver) Shiver, both deceased. Mrs. Holton lived most of her life in Cook County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Holton Sr., two brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul W. Holton, Jr., and Larry and Audrey Holton, both of Adel; three daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and Brian Lipsey of Oviedo, Fla.; Ramonda Holton of Sparks; and Sharon and Warren Spradley of Brunswick; one sister, Willa Dean Barker of Quitman; nine grandchildren, Holly and Kyle Holton of Adel; Heather and Chris Lipsey of Oviedo, Fla; Lee Henthorn or Sparks; Greg and Kayla Holton of Adel; and Ted and Rachael Spradley of Brunswick; one great granddaughter, Christina Lipsey of Oviedo, Fla.; a special niece, Elnora Chapman; and several nieces and nephews.
Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
