Jeanette A. Doueck
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jeanette A. Doueck (Dodd), 68, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Thursday, May 1, 2003, in Madison, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Fla.
A longtime resident of Jacksonville, Mrs. Doueck was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Doueck, and one son, Lee C. Dodd.
She was a member of Avondale Baptist Church and a volunteer for many years at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Mrs. Doueck was also an avid bowler.
She is survived by her children, Neil and Mike Dodd of Madison, Fla., Charles Dodd (Camy), Debbie Bennett and Mary Courson (David); two brothers, Jimmy Dickey (Sheryl) and Carl Dickey (Janet) of Tifton; one sister, Charlene Davis (David); and her grandchildren, Brandy, Cole, Jennifer, Kyle and Kristi.
Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mildred Elrod Reinhardt
ASHBURN — Mildred Elrod Reinhardt, 91, of Ashburn, died Sunday, May 4, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Born in Thomasville, Mrs. Reinhardt was the daughter of Robert H. Elrod and Belle Rainey Elrod, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eli Watson Reinhardt, who died Jan. 27, 1979; one daughter, Martha Sue Reinhardt, who died Aug. 15, 1957; a son, Eli Reinhardt, who died July 18, 1994; and a son-in-law, Tommy Harris, who died Nov. 28, 1987.
Mrs. Reinhardt was a homemaker and a member of Ashburn First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy R. Harris of Tifton and Bonnie Reinhardt of Ashburn; two grandchildren, Gus Reinhardt of Kingsland and Emily Lamontagne of Valdosta; and one great-grandchild, Augustus Eli Reinhardt IV.
Perry Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Raina Hiers Cagle
CARTERSVILLE — Raina Hiers Cagle, 41, of Cartersville, died Friday, May 2, 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Dr. Don Hattaway, the Rev. Danny Watters and the Rev. Doug Cox will officiate. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Lee Atkins, Mark Holmes, Bobby Holmes, Mark Wigley, Allen Johnson and Randy Knight.
Born March 20, 1962, in Tift County, Mrs. Cagle was the daughter of Charles and Barbara Hiers of Cartersville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Cagle.
Mrs. Cagle was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and was employed at Cass High School.
Along with her parents, she is survived by two sons, Levi and Logan Cagle, both of Cartersville; one brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Kathy Hiers of Cartersville; one sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Marc Tompkins of Albany; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

John Joseph Justiss
ENIGMA — John Joseph Justiss, 80, of Enigma, died Sunday, May 4, 2003, at Berrien County Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Rowetown Cemetery.
Born Feb. 18, 1923, in Mitchell County, Mr. Justiss was the son of Vesper Lee Justiss and Nannie Mae Sadler, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alley Vynette Minnex Justiss, who died April 1, 2002, and a son, Anthony Lee Justiss.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Justiss was a retired millwork mechanic and attended Rowetown Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Sheila Kilpatrick of Enigma; three sons, John Phillip Justiss of Enigma, Robert Glynn Justiss of Tallahassee, Fla., and Oscar Clark Justiss of Albany; one sister, Vesper Lorene Odom of Camilla; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Donald Lee Tawzer Sr.
TIFTON — Donald Lee Tawzer Sr., 65, of Tifton, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Wayside Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. George Parrish and the Rev. Wayne Hunter will officiate. Burial will follow at Wayside Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hal McBrayer, Johnny Tawzer, Harmon Tawzer Jr., Clay Hall, Carl Tawzer Jr., Charles Tawzer Jr. and Bobby Perry.
The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Born Oct. 28, 1937, in Tift County, Mr. Tawzer was the son of Thomas Howard Tawzer Sr. and Ofelon Hightower Tawzer, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Tawzer McBrayer, who died May 5, 1977.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Tawzer was a retired #1 rural letter carrier and a member of Wayside Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
He was a member of Rural Letter Carriers Association and the QWL-EI Work Team and was elected Georgia Second District Retired Rural Carrier of the Year 2003.
Mr. Tawzer was very instrumental in getting a post office at the Expo.
He also was a down-home Christian man who was head coach of JoJo’s Plowboys ball team and played by the old rules. Every member of the team played and he was always the loudest cheerleader on the field.
A lifetime resident of Tift County, Mr. Tawzer was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and so much more. He was very devoted to his church and touched the lives of many through the years. He was very involved in all the activities of the youth and the senior members of the church. All who knew Mr. Tawzer can truly say he was a positive influence in their lives.
In addition to his family and church, his three favorite things were reading the Bible, fishing and working as a rural letter carrier.
Mr. Tawzer is survived by his wife, Annie Marie Willis Tawzer; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Lee Jr. and Dana Doss Tawzer and Joseph Brian and Melody Mixon Tawzer; three daughters and one son-in-law, Martha Lynn Tyson of Valdosta, Kimberly Ann Bowers and Terry Suzette and Ricky Kinard Jr.; five brothers, T. H. Tawzer Jr., Harold Tawzer Sr., Harmon Tawzer Sr., Glynn Tawzer Sr. and Coy Tawzer Sr.; two sisters, Elizabeth Tawzer McBrayer and Ruth Tawzer Hall; seven grandchildren, Lori Tyson, Rodney Donald Tyson Jr., Luanne Broome, Paul Kinard, Megan Tawzer, Amber Tawzer and Katelyn Tawzer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
