Support displays
“I want to Rave about the beautiful display of lights for Christmas that various people have out. There are some that have gone to extreme work and trouble and expenditures to bless us with these beautiful lights. I want to encourage people to contribute as they drive through these drive-through areas to help these people with their light bill expenses.”
Bring pets in
“This is a Rant to all the people that leave their little animals, dogs or pets outside when it’s cold. Please bring your dogs in at night. They can’t stand the cold and it’s inhumane to leave them out.”
The same applies
“To the Christian in Tuesday’s paper: You’re right. Jesus did die for us and salvation is free. But what you have missed, Christian, is that God did not give you the authority to judge. Just because you are of the Muslim faith does not mean that you agree with what happened on 9/11. The same thing surely applies to you. You label yourself as Christian, but you don’t agree with the Christians who molested the young boys in the Catholic church.”
Don’t say it to me
“I see where some of the devil’s people are trying to keep the Americans from wishing people happy holidays or mentioning Christ or putting a picture of Christ in their stores and all that sort of thing. The same thing’s been going on since this country has been a nation. And I think the people that are doing that should be picked up, put in cattle cars and shipped out of the country.I mean, it’s all right for them not to like it as long as they don’t try to stop the people from doing what they’ve always done and what the majority of Americans want done. I don’t care who they celebrate. They can go down and dance with the devil for all I care. That’s where they’re going to be dancing one day when they’re in fire anyway. But we have a right to say Merry Christma or Happy Holidays, and I’m going to say it. And anybody that doesn’t like it, he’d better not say it to me. That’s all I’ve got to say. I mean, it’s time for real Americans to stand up and let’s get these foreigners straightened out.”
Congratulations, Lloyd
“Congratulations to Lloyd Copeland, Technician of the Year for the USDA South Atlantic area. He is the most easy-going person, never loses his temper and never complains. He has a great personality and is always willing to help others.”
Thanks, Pam
“I would like to express my appreciation to Pam Crownover. She is a nurse practitioner at Children’s Medical Center. I just want to say that she takes care of my children like it’s her own family and she’s an asset to Children’s Medical Center.”
No ideas
“In regards to the picture of the baby in the dryer, I know that was meant as an innocent prank. But let’s not put ideas in people’s heads.”
Thanks for care
“This is a Rave for everyone at Affinity, Tift Regional Medical Center, MRS, CareOne and Health Star for all your excellent care that you gave my grandfather during his last days. God bless you all. Our family wishes you all a happy holiday.”
Leave ’em there
“I have a Rant against the Tift County school bus system. Not only are they not supposed to be smoking on these buses, and I appreciate people complaining about the bus driver smoking on the buses, but I have a greater Rant than that. Why are bus drivers allowed to carry these buses home with them? Some of them live as far as 10 or 12 miles from the bus shop. They come into Tifton, run their route, go back home in the morning, come back in the afternoon, run their route and carry these buses home. How many thousands and thousands of dollars in costs of fuel would it save Tift County if they parked at the bus shop and used their car like some do instead of driving these buses home like taxi cabs? I was just wondering why we can’t put a stop to that. It could save thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars for us taxpayers. Have a nice day. Merry Christmas.”
