According to reports from the Tifton Police Department, at about 7:20 Saturday night a man identified as Alfonzo Torrez walked into Lil’s Bar and hit Bibiana Ramirez over the head with a pistol and then shot in the direction of Ramirez and Edgar Sainz. The report says that he then ran to a black Chevy pickup and left on Poplar Street.

In another report, a man believed to be Edgar Sainz got in an altercation with a female at Santos’ four hours later. After stepping into the fray to protect the woman, Pascual Del Angel, 25, of Tifton, was stabbed multiple times.

He is currently listed in fair condition at Tift Regional Medical Center.

“It appears that Sainz was the victim of one crime and the perpetrator of another four hours apart,” Det. Melissa Wood said.

Sainz may be wanted in connection with violent activity in Texas and authorities believe he may be headed in that direction. Anyone with any information on Sainz whereabouts or the crimes, should contact the Tifton Police Department at 229-382-4321.
