Honest man
“This is a rave for Domino’s Pizza Delivery man Kelvin Batts. My son gave Kelvin $40 for a $23 order. My son, thinking he gave him a 20 and $10 bill, told him to keep the change. I would like to thank and praise Kelvin for his honesty and intergrity. He returned to the house to correct the mistake. Thanks, Kelvin.”
Hate crimes?
“As a law enforcement officer that is familiar with the killings of the Hispanics last year, I too have to ask, why isn’t this being treated as a hate crime? Someone is dropping the ball on this one. It seems like the only time you hear of someone being charged with a hate crime is when the victim is black or gay. These murders were hate crimes and should be tried as such.”
Take responsibility
“Personally, as a parent and, I stand behind our school adminstrators and the decisions they make. I also think that in this day and age too many people are not willing to take responisiblity for themselves or their children. Our educators and administrators are doing an excellant job!!”
It’s the money
“The CityNet service… is not the issue. The issue is the amount of money it takes to keep it afloat. Borrowing from other departments to keep it going is a bad sign, AND even if every household and business in Tifton used them they would still NEVER make a profit. Divide the number of customers they have into what it takes to run it annually. Add money for repairs and upgrades and you’ll see what I mean.”
A question
“This is in response to the incident about the 5-year-old who was paddled leaving bruises. If that child would have come to school from home with those bruise , their parents or the responsible party would be in jail, so why isn’t the school administrator not in jail?”
Common courtesy
“You know the public, which by the way includes all of us at one time or the other, that enjoys Fulwood Park has responsibilities too. Just because it is not your restroom at home, does not mean that you should not clean up after yourself. You should have common courtesy and not expect the ‘workers’ to do it all. Some people just like to complain. But then again, some of those probably keep their restrooms at home in the same condition and just don’t want to clean up. You just need to grow up and take some responsibility.”
I’m interested
This is a rave for the person who wrote in and wanted to sign a petition for the Publix grocery coming to Tifton. I am interested and I have neighbors who are interested. If this is going around, let us know. We are all in favor of Publix coming to Tifton.
Editor’s note: There is a petition online at www.gopetition.com/sign.php
