The duties of a candidate to serve the American people in government:

To fully define a servant embracing patriotism, we have to look at getting good servants elected. The Tiftarea Patriots, a non-partisan educational organization, has compiled a set of standards that should result in constitutional government with candidates adhering to these ideals. We titled these ideals “Tea Party Mentalities.”

The document is available at the tea party meetings every Monday night at the Holiday Inn in Tifton. They are free to the public along with other constitutional items.

Our Seven E’s of Purpose:

• Encourage “We The People” to get involved in government;

• Embrace the Constitution of the United States of America;

• Eradicate selfish interest, and opposition to the Constitution;

• Eliminate the Federal Reserve System and The Internal Revenue System;

• Educate the populace about our Republic; and

• Empower representatives of “We The People.”

MENTALITY: Identify conservative leaders to emerge and represent our causes of personal liberties; empower them to seek public office at all levels of government; and hold them accountable to these ideals…

Imperative standards: 1. Embody Judeo-Christian values and principles; 2. Character and fortitude to defend and execute the values of our forefathers; 3. Conservative in philosophy and finances; 4. Constitutionist that will represent our Republic historically; 5. Judicially uphold the law, administering fairly and unbiased; 6. Legislate as statesmen, servants of the people, not politicians; and 7. the Executive branch — Commander-in-Chief, a strong defense as a deterrent, not an aggressor.

Our original forms of government: Empowered by the Constitution — the FOUNDATION and EMBODIMENT of our great nation, the United States of America, empowering the BILL OF RIGHTS; the sovereignty of the states; and individual rights in the pursuit of liberty and justice for all. 1. Local — provide basic and fundamental services such as trials by peers, law enforcement and develop and maintain local infrastructure; 2. State — govern the people’s affairs, provide and maintain statehood functions and infrastructure, INCLUDING ALL AFFAIRS NOT SPECIFICALLY GRANTED TO THE FEDERAL, which by the way are very limited; and 3. Federal — protection of all citizens from aggressors, both foreign and domestic, by a mighty militia; and develop and maintain national infrastructure.

Get a copy of the Constitution at the Monday night meetings and read its limiting power of the Fed, especially Amendments 9 and 10. By the way, all current public servants swear by oath to uphold all of the above.

OBJECTIVES: 1. Return to Constitution; with states’ sovereign rights, including individual rights; 2. Limit government intervention in all private and business affairs, except intrastate business; 3. Remove partisan voting restraints in all elections; 4. Eliminate individual income tax, a major plank in the Communist Manifesto; and institute a flat sales tax to fund the military and infrastructure; 6. Embrace immigrants coming to our country looking for freedom and opportunity; coming legally, joining the system, paying their dues, learning and speaking our language, loving and defending our country, and never apologetic to the world for US!
