Margaret Anne and Lloyd Greer Ewing of Ashburn proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Margaret Ewing, to Jeffrey Parker Shiver, both of Atlanta. Jeff is the son of Gail Parker Melton and Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Watson Shiver of Nashville.

The bride-elect is the grandaughter of the late Mary and Austin Scott and Pardee and John Ewing all of Ashburn.  She is a 1998 honor graduate of Turner County High School and a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development in 2002.  She is presently employed as a second grade teacher at Austin Elementary in Dunwoody, Georgia.  

The groom is the grandson of Dora Parker and the late Walter Parker of Sparks, Georgia and the late Laurie and Savoia Shiver of Adel, Georgia.  He is a 1995 Honor Graduate of Berrien High School and a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management and Insurance and a Juris Doctorate degree, 1999 and 2004 respectively.  He is a partner at the law firm of Shiver Hamilton, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia.

The couple will be married at Caneel Bay, St. John USVI on July 1, 2011.
