Police report for September 28

Crime briefs:
• Two people were arrested Sunday after they were found with a purse with items in it that had been reported stolen from a woman’s vehicle last week on 19th 1/2 Street. Another person’s driver’s license was also found. The report states that Lekisha Ray Golding, 29, 91 Academy Drive, Apt. 9, Chula, and Andrew Mendieta, 35, 186 Deese Road, Omega, were both charged with theft by receiving stolen property.
• A woman reported Monday that someone toilet papered and plastic wrapped her son’s vehicles on Oliver Street while he was out of town. She also stated that the subjects put silly string all over the yard and porch. Forks were also found at the bottom of the steps and around the vehicles, the report states. There was no damage to the property.
• Officer Freddy Amaya reported Monday that while patrolling on 28th Street, he was flagged down by a man in reference to a vehicle fire. The man advised that the interior of his 2010 Ford Ranger was smoking through the air conditioner vents. He stated that he pulled over and a fire began in the glove box and dash board area. Amaya reported that he extinguished the fire and notified the Tifton-Tift County Fire Department, who arrived on scene and determined that the fire was caused by a short circuit under the dash. The report states that the vehicle belongs to Utility Meter Services Company.

Karen Elaine Cotto, 39, 145 Upper Ty Ty Road, was charged Monday with speeding and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Mathieu Lavine Smith, 19, 100 Bridge St., Lot 12, Sylvester, was charged Monday with two probation violations.

Marsha Irene Denson, 46, 420 19th St. W., was charged Monday with a probation violation.
Ernso Francois, 50, 504 Old Omega Road, Lot 5, was charged Monday with battery (family violence).
Sam Jackson III, 33, 1304 S. Ridge Ave., Gainesville, Fla., was charged Monday with a probation violation.
Katie Robinson, 25, 1603 Red Fox Trail, was charged Monday with deposit account fraud.

Adrainna Caldwell, 27, P.O. Box 1998, was charged Monday with speeding and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Clinton Lee Clark, 32, 2726 Doc GC Hill Ave., was charged Friday with DUI and an open container violation.
Michael Bernard Davis, 32, 902 Corn Ave., Albany, was charged Friday with driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Randy Jake Lott, 44, 508 Columbus Road, Pearson, was charged Saturday with DUI, failure to maintain lane, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Donald Algernon Miller, 29, 114 Southside Drive, was charged Friday with driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Dexter Moses, 43, 4337 Windam Park Circle, Decatur, was charged Sunday with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Bao Thanh Vuong, 37, 1014 Goff St., was charged Sunday with DUI and DUI endangering child under 14.

Manuel Antonio Martinez, 21, 606 S. Toombs St., Valdosta, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Loreto Rodriguez-Zarate, 68, 39 Gidders St., Enigma, was charged Monday with driving with a suspended or revoked license and speeding.
