Margaret Swain Stinson, 72, of Enigma died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The Rev. Dana Swain, the Rev. Marvin Williams and the Rev. Billy Swain will officiate with burial to follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. Sam Easters, Bill Lincoln, Billy Ussery, Carlton Sego, Bob Croak and Mark Lott will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Little, Clifford Lee, Ronnie Culpepper, Hershel Pope, Bentley Barrentine, Lamar Hogan, Johnny King, Jeff Abel, Bobby Stinson, Larry Stinson, Jerry Stinson and Tim Daniel. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. tonight in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Stinson was born June 2, 1940 in Nashville and was the daughter of Marvin William “Buck” Swain Sr. and Evelyn Easters Swain, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Zion Ministries in Enigma.
Mrs. Stinson is survived by her husband, Steve “Sonny” Stinson Jr. of Enigma; a daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Bob Boykin of Ocilla; a brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Billy and Marian Swain of Enigma; two grandchildren and their spouses, Lakin and Michael Bailey and Bryson and Vanna Boykin, all of Nashville; and one great-granddaughter, Addison Gina Bailey of Nashville.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Tifton Dialysis, Hospice of Tiftarea, Osceola Nursing Home and Life Line Home Care for their special care of Mrs. Stinson during her illness.
