TIFTON — Pedal over to the Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College at 6 p.m. Friday to the “Bike-In Movie.” This event is sponsored by the museum, ABAC Office of Student Affairs and the Tiftarea Greenways Association (TAGA). It will be held in conjunction with the YMCA’s Tour de Tifton on Saturday.

The “Bike-In Movie” will begin with a community bike ride at 6 p.m., which begins and ends in the Country Store parking lot of the GMA. If they so choose, riders can meet on the ABAC Circle in front of the ABAC campus to group bike to the GMA before the community cycling event.

At 7 p.m., riders will return to the Country Store parking lot of the GMA and then cycle to the museum parking lot to eat and watch the cycling favorite, “Breaking Away.” Food will be available for purchase at 7 p.m., prior to the showing of the movie.

The gate to the museum will be closed to all motorized traffic. Only bikes or pedestrians will be able to go to the museum parking lot for the movie. Movie goers may want to bring a blanket or a collapsible chair to be more comfortable watching the movie.

The “Bike-In Movie” is free of charge and open to local riders, the community and all visiting Tour de Tifton cyclists.
