Crime briefs
• An officer reported July 10 that he responded to the 600 block of Chesnutt Avenue in reference to a black male looking for a bicycle. He reported that another officer found a bicycle on the edge of the road. A perimeter was set up. Officers began walking the neighborhood, looking for the subject. A black male, who said he was looking for his bicycle, was seen walking and questioned. When asked where he was going, he replied that he was looking for some girl (unknown name) who lived at an unknown address. The subject was then placed under arrest for loitering. While searching the offender, a wallet was found in his pockets. The wallet belonged to a white female living in the area. It was found to have been taken out of her vehicle, which was unlocked. Other vehicles in the area were found to have been entered as well. John Paul Battle, 50, of Tifton, was charged with three counts of second degree burglary.
• A deputy responded June 23 to an abandoned residence on East Adcock Road in reference to an attempted burglary. The complainant reported that two white subjects were attempting to load a refrigerator into a green truck. The subjects then fled the scene upon seeing him. The suspects were located in Cook County by Cook County deputies. The report states that Autumn Brooke Welch, 20, of Ty Ty, Brandon David Sutton, 20, of Ty Ty, and James Kevin Exum, 20, of Lenox, were all charged with theft by taking.
• Several entering autos have recently been reported July 8-9 in the areas of Olde Creek Road, Davis Avenue, Potts Road, Belmont Avenue, North Park Avenue, West 16th Street, Rogers Street and West 14th Street.
• A woman who lives on Old Omega Road reported July 12 that she and a male were asleep in the bed when someone shot through their window. They reported that they did no see anyone. Six holes were located in the window. Parts of the bullets were also located on the floor in the bedroom. Six spent .40 caliber shell casings were located in the grass outside the back of the house. A witness reported seeing a black male with short dreads and a striped shirt running from the area.
• All units were sent to Waffle House on West Second Street at 12:54 a.m. July 7 in reference to a bomb threat. The complainant reported that she had received multiple prank calls. The last call was a bomb threat. Officers searched the building, which was cleared of any threat or suspicious devices. All other Waffle House businesses were advised of the situation and cleared as needed.
• A woman who lives in the 500 block of 19 1/2 Street reported June 28 that one of her cars was on fire. The fire department extinguished the fire and an investigation was conducted by the fire department.
• On July 13, a detective responded to the Shell Station on Old Omega Road in reference to several subjects on a United Bus Lines bus service with a complaint. Several subjects reported that the bus did not have air conditioning that was properly working. They complained that the bus was extremely hot and causing people to faint. One woman who fainted had to be transported by Emergency Medical Services to the hospital. The subjects said the air conditioning was out for several hours during their trip. The bus drivers said they would take the bus somewhere to try to have some maintenance done on the bus. All subjects opted to stay at the Shell Station while the bus drivers attempted to get the bus fixed.

Stephan James Bowen, 21, 47 Cotton Pointe Circle, was charged Monday with possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce) and public drunkenness.
Blake Nicholas Brown, 29, 656 W. County Line Road, Sycamore, was charged Saturday with obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers and two counts of theft by shoplifting.
Jacobie Charles Dixon, 22, 2105 S. Park Ave., was charged Thursday with a probation violation.
Julie Cheree Folsom, 34, 506 E. 40th St., was charged Sunday with obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers without force and a probation violation.
Harold Delinsey Hawk, 49, 1100 Shady Lane, was charged Saturday with driving while license suspended or revoked and failure to obey traffic.
Nathan Garett Hunt, 31, 2745 Rock Bluff Road, Blakely, was charged Sunday with DUI and failure to maintain lane.
Elizabeth Diane Kegley, 35, 1220 N. College Ave., Apt. 3, was charged Thursday with DUI, failure to dim headlights, possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce), an open container violation and driving while license suspended or revoked.
Charlie Emmanuel McCrary, 19, 422 Dixie Ave., was charged Thursday with a probation violation.
Christopher Hamilton McMillian, 43, 953 Hobbs Walker Road, Enigma, was charged Thursday with theft by shoplifting.
Jennifer Dencice Rogers, 46, 709 W. 19th St., was charged Sunday with theft by shoplifting.
Lola Cherrolene Spurlin, 33, 19671 Highway 41 S., Lenox, was charged Friday with operating a motor vehicle while registration is suspended, driving without insurance, missing or defective headlights, driving without a valid tag/license plate and driving with an expired license.
Ronald Lee Sutton, 49, was charged Thursday with obstruction of law enforcement officer and public drunkenness.
Jennifer Marie Wallace, 32, 534 E. 16th St., was charged Friday with possession of cocaine and a probation violation.
Shannon Len Webb, 22, 1408 N. Central Ave., was charged Saturday with simple battery (family violence).
Kathy Ann Williams, 47, 4578 Highway 82 W., Ty Ty, was charged Saturday with theft by shoplifting.
Brenda Renee Yancy, 22, 3460 Southern Ave., was charged Sunday with theft by shoplifting.

Terry Lee Clark, 38, 1117 Pehler Drive, was charged Saturday with two counts of required brake lights and turn signals, missing tail/tag lights, driving without a valid tag/license, driving while license suspended or revoked and no proof of insurance/motorcycles.
Timothy Joseph Clines, 37, 30 Horseshoe Circle, was charged Saturday with simple assault (family violence).
Cornelius Lashawn Davis, 41, 1110 S. College Circle, Lot 45, was charged Thursday with a probation violation.
Alexis Fajardo, 33, 7800 Point Meadows Drive, Unit 23, Jacksonville, Florida, was charged Friday with speeding and driving while license suspended or revoked.
Johnny Lee Golson, 23, 182 S. Church St., Lot B, Ty Ty, was charged Tuesday with battery (family violence) and three counts of cruelty to children in the third degree.
Jerry Dinson Johnson, 56, 161 Florida Ave., Omega, was charged Friday with six counts of fourth degree forgery.
Carmela Leflore, 52, 5518 Arnold Palmer Drive, Orlando, Florida, was charged Monday with DUI, drugs not in original container, failure to stop at sign and two counts of failure to maintain lane.
Sherman Jermaine McLester, 42, 5360 Gettysburg Way, Columbus, was charged Sunday with speeding, reckless driving and driving while license suspended or revoked.
Patrick Joseph O’Rear, 35, 215 W. 18th St., was charged Thursday with DUI, reckless driving and driving while license suspended or revoked.
Brandon Demetris Parker, 32, 16500 S.W. 137 Ave., Apt. 835, Miami, Florida, was charged Sunday with speeding, wearing a device which impairs and driving while license suspended or revoked.
Abigail Couch Payton, 25, 2712 Woodlawn Ave., Kentucky, was charged Saturday with speeding, a child restraint violation and driving while license suspended or revoked.
Kevin Perdomo-Quintero, 23, 7900 N.W. 53rd Court, Lauderhill, Florida, was charged Saturday with speeding, driving without a valid license and operation of vehicle on approach.
Kabriana Lashaunte Smith, 23, 1080 N. Fifth St., Cocoa, Florida, was charged Friday with purchase, possess or have control of a controlled substance in schedule I.

Juan Jose Arvizo, 37, 758 Boston St., Enigma, was charged Saturday with DUI, failure to dim headlights, driving without a valid license and three counts of endangering a child by driving under the influence.
Antwon Montreal Brown, 30, 1078 Clarks Bluff Road, Kingsland, was charged Saturday with driving while license suspended or revoked.
Joshua Micheal Ledford, 26, 800 Upper Ty Ty Road, was charged Saturday with driving while license suspended or revoked, driving without insurance and following too closely.
Mildred Ross, 37, 515 Countryside Road, Willacoochee, was charged Friday with DUI, driving without a license and failure to maintain lane.
Watley Kevin Walsh, 33, 910 Waterloo Highway, Chula, was charged Sunday with DUI, failure to maintain lane, an expired tag, driving without insurance and driving while license suspended or revoked.
