Turner Touchdown Club hosts softball tournament

ASHBURN — The Turner Touchdown Club is having a men’s softball tournament April 21-22.
The entry fee is $200 and the proceeds from the tournament will help buy equipment for Turner athletics. The Touchdown Club is looking for at least a 10-15 team field.

USSSA rules will apply to the games, which will have a time limit of 1 hour, 15 minutes. If the tournament gets too far behind, pitches per at-bat will be shortened. A 44~core ball will be used for every game. Games are to be played at the Turner County Recreation Department.
Players will not be permitted to use senior bats, ultra bats or titanium bats.
Individual prizes will be awarded to the first and second place team. There will also possibly be a home run derby Besides the entry fees, there will also be an option to purchase $15 wristbands for unlimited home runs.
