TIFTON — Andrew Spurlock, 19, of Tifton, was charged Saturday, July 8 with child molestation, aggravated child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes and misdemeanor willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, according to the report from the Tifton Police Department.

The incident took place on July 5 and was reported on July 8, the report states.

Detective Ferron Yi said she obtained warrants for the first three charges and that Spurlock fled when she and other officers went to serve those warrants. After he was caught he was charged with obstruction.

The victim, age 11, has not been identified at this time.

Bond was denied and Spurlock is currently in the Tift County Jail.
