Five arrested on drug charges

TIFTON — Five Tift County residents were arrested on drug related charges August 17, according to a press release from the Tift County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the release, agents with the Mid-South Narcotics Task Force and TCSO deputies served search warrants at two different locations in Tift County, a result of two investigations into the distribution of illegal drugs.
Both of the investigations were started after the Sheriff’s Office had received complaints from citizens on the activities occurring at these residences, the statement said. According to the TCSO, these investigations are not tied to the arrests on August 11.
The first search warrant occurred in the 300 block of East Golden Road.
When the warrants were served, two of the three occupants fled on foot but were apprehended after a short foot chase, the report states. During the search, law enforcement recovered 24 grams of suspected marijuana, 43 grams of suspected cocaine and $2,519 in cash.
The three suspects arrested in this first investigation were:
Rashad Mychal Henderson, 30, of Tifton was charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and obstruction of law enforcement.
Dexter Antonio White, 43, of Tifton was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
Antonio Jernodii McCoy, 24, of Tifton was arrested and charged with obstruction of law enforcement.
The second search warrant was served in the 50 block of Flat Ford Road in Omega.
During this search warrant agents and deputies recovered 1.75 ounces of high-grade marijuana, often referred to as “loud” on the street, $854 in cash and several firearms, according to the report
The following suspects were arrested in this case:
Justin Tyler Jenkins, 28, who resided at the residence, was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Sierra Renee Jenkins, 27, who also resides at the Flat Ford road address, was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and tampering with evidence.
Suspects in both cases were taken to the Tift County Jail and are awaiting bond hearings, the report states.
