Amber Alert: Missing child may be heading to Valdosta

VALDOSTA — An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday in North Carolina for an infant whose abductors may be heading to South Georgia, according to authorities.
Cali Cochran was abducted Monday at 10:30 p.m. in Clyde, N.C., according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Two people sought by authorities in connection with the abduction are the child’s non-custodial parents, Rex Cochran, 39, and Heather Cochran, 31, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), which also issued an alert.
The Cochrans may be heading to Valdosta or to Ocala, Fla., SLED said in its alert. They may be traveling in a blue 2001 Ford Mustang, unknown tag number, or a 1999 GMC Suburban, North Dakota tag number 489-AWH, according to the alert.
Rex Cochran is described as a white male, 5’7″, 185 pounds with brown hair and eyes, while Heather Cochran is a white female, 5’4″, 120 pounds with green eyes and brown hair, the South Carolina alert said.
Cali Cochran is a white female child, 20 inches long and weighing 10 pounds, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
