- The playhouses being raffled for this year's CASA fundraiser.
TIFTON — The playhouses are back again for the 15th annual Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) fundraiser.
The playhouses on display were made to raise money for CASA, who are specially trained volunteers appointed as officers of the court to an abused or neglected child.
CASA volunteers get to know children going through the court system and gather information about the child and other persons who are involved in the child’s life.
They are an active part of the child’s advocacy team and work towards ensuring that the child has a safe, stable and permanent home.
This year there are five playhouses to choose from. Tickets are $10 each, which is an increase from $5 last year.
The drawing will be at 7:30 p.m. in front of First Baptist Church during the annual Hometown Holidays celebration in downtown Tifton on Dec. 2.
