Head coach Gregg Segraves credits this to “better kids, who have bought into what we’re doing.”
“No doubt,” said Segraves that youth has been a major part of this success. Many of the successful athletes at these events have been underclassmen. Eighth Street’s girls program has not just been a mainstay, but a force of nature. Recently, they captured their 16th region championship in 17 years.
“It’s all come together,” said Segraves, who also had plenty of compliments for his assistants. He said he had excellent coaches for every event.
