TIFTON — The winners of the Best of Tifton 2019 contest were honored at the annual banquet on May 30 at Spring Hill Country Club.

“We had a very enjoyable evening visiting with our many local advertising businesses and other Tifton community businesses,” said Dan Sutton, publisher for The Tifton Gazette. “Thanks to all who attended last night’s banquet.

“I look forward to this Best of Tifton banquet each year. As always, all of our local winning businesses are nominated and voted as the best of the best by our local citizens and subscribers. Thanks to all who participated in making this annual  event another roaring success. And last but not least, thanks to all of our many local advertisers who depend on us to bring local customers into their stores, and to our thousands of subscribers that we deliver to. Voters selected winners from more than 100 categories, from cups of coffee and car repair to steakhouses and shoe stores.

“For many of our subscribers, the newspaper is their only connection to the outside world,” said Rachel Wainwright, director of circulation. “We couldn’t do what we do without the continued support of our advertisers.”
