Best of Tifton 2020 nominations open

Nominations are open for our Reader’s Choice Awards/Best of Tifton 2020.

Every year, the awards give our readers a chance to have their voice heard, to vote on what they consider the best of Tifton and Tift County.

In recent years, we’ve added a nominations process where readers can nominate their favorite businesses to be a part of the contest.

We’ll take the top 3 nominations in each category and open it to voting later this year.

This year, there are three sections: Business & Shopping; Food, Drink & Entertainment; and People, Places & Service.

These three sections cover 110 categories.

In Business & Shopping, readers can nominate in 46 categories, including best new and used automobile dealer, best grocery store, best gift shop, best pawn shop, best quick oil change, best florist, best frame shop, best music store, best meat store and best tattoo parlor, to name a few.

In Food, Drink & Entertainment, readers can cast a nomination for 30 categories, including best buffet, best fried chicken, best fast food, best sandwich, best seafood restaurant, best Chinese restaurant, best BBQ, best family restaurant and best coffee.

In People, Places & Service, readers can nominate businesses for 34 categories, including best plumber, best doctor, best hotel, best spa/massage, best landscaping, best health club/gym, best dance studio, best walk-in clinic, best attorney and best nail salon, to name a few.

The nomination form can be found in our newspaper, every Wednesday and Friday for the rest of January.

Nominations are open until Feb. 7.
