TIFTON — Family and friends gathered Thursday evening Jan. 30, to see their loved ones in a beauty pageant at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia.

The second annual MIss Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia pageant was held with help from the staff at the RCSG along with contributors such as The Salvation Army, Belk, Georgia Home Health, and Murray’s Flower Gallery, who helped make the pageant possible. All of their help filled the room with decorations, music, a red carpet and a lively atmosphere.

The most engaging moments came from the answers contestants gave when asked about their lives and experiences.

The memories that were shared and the humor that lightened the room made it easy to see how lovely they all were. When asked about the people at RCSG, Dorthy O’Hair gave the most touching answer: “They make living worth it.”

Overall, the winners of Miss Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia 2020 went to Martha Dore for first place, followed by Dorothy O’Hair and Janie Keaton for second and third place.

When asked how she felt winning her first beauty pageant, Dore described feeling a slew of emotions from shocked to happiness.

Following this victory, Dore will get the opportunity to qualify for a state competition in Atlanta.
