TIFTON — Affinity Physicians for Women held a ribbon cutting at its new location at 1493 Kennedy Road on Feb. 27.

Dr. Shannon Price said she and her staff are excited about the new location.

“We’re excited about our new expanded facility and we’re certainly enjoying the new room,” she said.

Andrea Heath, director of specialty clinics for Tift Regional, said that the move allowed the clinic to double the space it has, going from six exam rooms to 12.

Price said that the previous facility was more of a transitional space and that they are looking at the Kennedy Road location to be their permanent home.

The clinic sees patients for a wide variety of women’s issues.

“We see GYN and OB patients,” practice manager Tammy Hall said. “We see a lot of them for menopause issues, infertility, GYN wellness.”

Price said the clinic provides a full spectrum of obstetrical and gynecological care and serves women from children up to 100 years old.

“We basically can perform the services that any other provider in the area can provide,” Price said. “We also provide state of the art ultrasounds here because we actually do 3D and 4D ultrasounds. I believe we’re the only practice in town that offers that.”

Price said that the expanded space will also allow the practice to bring on new physicians, which will benefit the patients.

“From a provider standpoint, that is very, very nice,” she said.
